Added a link to my letterboxd in the menu bar above, as I'm trying to record my impressions of movies I've seen. Found out the cinema by me (well not that close it's like a half hour away, I miss the kinda shitty one that was 5 minutes away alas) has bargain tuesdays where I can buy $5 tickets through their app.

They also have personal subtitle devices which I'd never heard of before? It's this funky little box on one of those positionable necks and it screws into the cup holder of the seats. It has a really old fashioned dot matrix display behind a fresnel lens and you adjust the position so it's in your field of view but not blocking the screen too much. Once or twice a line was missed but mostly it worked pretty well.

I mask everywhere due to my fucked immune system and I've been using a mask with a sip valve at the movies so I can get a drink to sip on and once I got some steel straws that don't get pinched by the valve it works pretty good. Wish those valves were cheaper tho. Makes me want to get a bunch of the parts and make some up myself.
